In collaboration with the Ministry of Peace and six civil society organizations, Pro Pride led youth-led institutional capacity-building in Woreda 10 of Kolfe Keranio Sub‑city, Addis Ababa, to respond to the COVID‑19 crisis. By training 35 youth as COVID‑19 trainers—who subsequently reached 344 peers—and organizing a five-day Active Citizenship training cascaded to 301 youth, the initiative promoted vital prevention knowledge, strengthened community action projects, and helped construct a community WASH facility to reduce sanitation-related conflict—all reinforcing civic leadership and pandemic resilience at the local level.
