Gender Equality & GBV Prevention

Empowering communities through gender equality, advocacy, and transformative support—creating safe spaces and leadership opportunities for women and girls.

Pro Pride champions gender equality and the protection of women and girls through strategic awareness-building, advocacy, and psychosocial support. Over the years, the organization has implemented high-impact initiatives—such as Empowering Women through Combating GBV (2009–11), Beyond Numbers: Toward Gender Transformation (2019–21), and Bearers of Life with FAWE—addressing harmful norms through community conversations, media campaigns, training, and service partnerships. These programs reached over 18,400 direct beneficiaries, mobilized community voices across regions, and built institutional capacity to enhance women’s participation and reduce violence against women.
